Rao Kyao, who has already given us the pleasure of attending the 1st Pietro Ubaldi Congress, is a musician of renown quality and talent. It is truly intoxicating the beauty, sometimes so gentle and sometimes so intense, but always of such marvelous sensitivity, which resonates from his works, even leading sometimes to contemplative states.
Over a career of more than 40 years, Rão Kyao has distinguished himself by his persistent desire to rediscover the East. Using the bamboo flute and saxophone, he found inspiration in Indian, Arabic, African and Chinese music, thus re-establishing the missing link between Portuguese musical tradition and the East.
Acting on various tours across all continents, he is considered an “ambassador” of Portuguese music. In 2013, he was awarded the Carlos Paredes Prize. A few years before he also received the award of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator.
As for PASHUPATI – Advanced Yoga Demonstrators Group, of the Portuguese Yoga Confederation – it was created by HH Jagat Guru Amrta Súryánanda Mahá Rája, Grand Master of International Yoga, with the aim of enhancing the personal capabilities of performing Asana (psycho-biophysical positions of Yoga), by simultaneously demonstrating the Harmony of Movement, and the Gravity domain among Asana.
Consisting of Masters, Teachers and Yoga practitioners of all ages, Pashupati is currently directed by Master Sváminí Chandra Deví.
Her presentations, always impregnated with Yoga’s Multi-Millennial Wisdom, are based on beauty, harmony, and the art of transmitting the subtle. Since 2010, Pashupati has made public presentations, both National and International, always aiming at promoting the Traditional Yoga of India, and the values of fraternity, love, tolerance, and human-cosmic integration, inherent to Yoga. For a Fraternal and Enlightened Humanity!
